SBI CLERK NOTIFICATION 2024

On December 17, 2024, the State Bank of India (SBI) released a notification for the recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales). This recruitment drive offers 13,735 vacancies across various states in India.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Those in their final year of graduation may also apply provisionally, provided they can produce proof of passing the graduation examination on or before the joining date.
• Age Limit: Applicants should be between 20 and 28 years as of December 1, 2024. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

Selection Process:

1. Preliminary Examination: An online test consisting of objective-type questions. This exam is qualifying in nature.
2. Main Examination: Candidates who qualify in the prelims will appear for the mains, which includes sections like General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude.
3. Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state they are applying for. A test will be conducted to assess this proficiency.

Vacancy Details:

The total number of vacancies is 13,735, distributed across various states and categories. Candidates can apply for vacancies in one state/UT only and must be proficient in the local language of that state.

Exam Pattern:

• Preliminary Exam:
  • English Language: 30 questions (30 marks)
  • Numerical Ability: 35 questions (35 marks)
  • Reasoning Ability: 35 questions (35 marks)
  • Duration: 1 hour
• Main Exam:
  • General/Financial Awareness: 50 questions (50 marks)
  • General English: 40 questions (40 marks)
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 50 questions (50 marks)
  • Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude: 50 questions (60 marks)
  • Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes

Salary and Benefits:

The initial pay is ₹19,900 (₹17,900 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates). Additional benefits include DA, HRA, and other allowances as per bank rules.
